Chong announces $118,770 in funding to upgrade Eden Mills and District Community Club
EDEN MILLS – Michael Chong, Member of Parliament for Wellington-Halton Hills, today announced an investment of $118,770 for the Eden Mills and District Community Club. The funding is provided through the Government of Canada’s Canada 150 Infrastructure Program.
This investment will support an energy-retrofit of the community hall, as well as electrical and accessibility upgrades, and technical upgrades to the theatre.
“I am delighted that Eden Mills has received the funding necessary to undertake this important project,” said Chong. “Community centres such as the Eden Mills and District Community Club are important gathering places for members of the community, and investments like this will ensure that it will continue to do so for years to come.”
This project is one of over 350 Canada 150 Infrastructure Program projects approved in Southern Ontario under the program’s second intake. These projects will allow Canadians to enjoy upgraded community facilities such as parks, trails, cultural and community centres. They will also help create a lasting legacy as Canada prepares to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Confederation.
