Le gouvernement provincial a vers\u00e9 un montant \u00e9quivalent pour un total de 30\u00a0millions de dollars, ce qui permettra l\u2019ajout d\u2019une deuxi\u00e8me voie et offrira de la place pour une troisi\u00e8me voie. Ces am\u00e9liorations, qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 compl\u00e9t\u00e9es en 2010, \u00e9taient cruciales pour appuyer l\u2019augmentation de la demande locale de service de transport public et pour l\u2019expansion \u00e9ventuelle du service de GO Transit dans la r\u00e9gion, y compris la nouvelle station d\u2019Acton.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Je suis ravi de constater que les r\u00e9sidents d\u2019Acton et de la r\u00e9gion profitent de l\u2019investissement de notre gouvernement en vue d\u2019am\u00e9liorer le pont de la rivi\u00e8re Credit \u00e0 Georgetown\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le d\u00e9put\u00e9 Chong.\u00a0 La nouvelle station offrira aux r\u00e9sidents de Halton Hills une autre option de transport et am\u00e9liorera l\u2019acc\u00e8s au Greater Golden Horseshoe, tout en r\u00e9duisant les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre et en r\u00e9duisant la congestion routi\u00e8re.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>M. Chong a f\u00e9licit\u00e9 le maire de la municipalit\u00e9 de Halton Hills, Rick Bonnette, et le conseil municipal pour leur d\u00e9termination \u00e0 voir ce projet se concr\u00e9tiser, y compris le bail de location du terrain entre Metrolinx et la municipalit\u00e9 de Halton Hills. Il a \u00e9galement applaudi Ted Arnott, d\u00e9put\u00e9 provincial de Wellington-Halton Hills, pour les efforts qu\u2019il a d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s au fil des ann\u00e9es \u00e0 promouvoir la prolongation du service de GO Transit \u00e0 Acton, Guelph et Kitchener.<\/p>\n<p>Une fois termin\u00e9e, la nouvelle station offrira deux trajets le matin et deux le soir sur la ligne de Kitchener de GO Transit (l\u2019ancienne ligne de Georgetown).
