Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, il a collabor\u00e9 avec la compagnie pour assurer sa survie gr\u00e2ce au soutien du gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral. Par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire du programme pour l\u2019atteinte de l\u2019excellence en mati\u00e8re d\u2019innovation et de fabrication (AIME), le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral est venu en aide \u00e0 A.O.\u00a0Smith en lui accordant les fonds n\u00e9cessaires pour que la compagnie donne \u00e0 son personnel la formation sur les comp\u00e9tences sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es.
