The Eden Mills Writers Festival will receive $ 12,000 in federal funding through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund.

FERGUS – Michael Chong, Member of Parliament for Wellington-Halton Hills, today announced $ 12,000 in federal funding to help support the Eden Mills Writers Festival through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund .

The Canada Arts Presentation Fund provides access to Canadians (FCPA) to a variety of professional artistic experiences in their communities. The FCPA recognizes that arts presenters are key partners in achieving this goal by providing financial assistance to organizations that present professional art or series of shows, as well as their supporting organizations.

« For nearly three decades, the Eden Mills Writers Festival has been bringing the best of Canadian literature to beautiful and bucolic Wellington County, » said Chong. « The federal government has supported the Festival for years, and this year, once again, it will provide a grant to support this festival of Canadian writers. «

Each September, the Eden Mills Writers Festival celebrates Canada’s outstanding literary talent through a series of workshops and author readings. For more information on the 2015 Eden Mills Writers festival schedule, please visit: www.edenmillswritersfestival.ca
